Worship

Worship is the heart of our life as a faith community.

It is the expression of our praise and thanksgiving to God, the affirmation of our faith in Jesus Christ and the celebration of God’s Spirit in our midst.

At MIPC, worship is designed to draw us into a deeper awareness of God’s presence and God’s desire to change and challenge our lives.

Our worship services always include scripture, prayer, singing, preaching, and an opportunity to respond in the world as we go.

We Are Gathered

MIPC offers two services on Sunday mornings:
8:30AM in the Gym & 10:30AM in the Sanctuary.

The 10:30 service is also live-streamed
and then available throughout the week.

Both services include a kids’ time for ages 4-8
during the sermon.

8:30 in the Gym

Around tables with hot breakfast buffet
Hymns & choruses led by a small band

10:30 in the Sanctuary

Hymns with organ and piano
Choir, bells, and other musical offerings

MIPC celebrates the Sacrament of Communion
on the first Sunday of the month in both services.
What Do Presbyterians Believe About Communion?

The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated in worship as an expression of entrance into the church and of belonging within MIPC’s faith community.

We Are Sent

Having been gathered to hear and respond to God’s Word,
having offered our praises and our prayers,
and having received food for our journey,
God sends us out to live God’s purposes for life in the world.
